Comfort and safety were paramount in the design of our boat.
This is a 34 ft.
"Downeast" cruising boat. Unlike "V" hulls found on today's express cruisers or most sportfishing
boats, this vessel boasts a "trawler-like" semi-displacement hull that glides through the chop rather than bouncing
over it. This makes for a much more comfortable ride and allows her to handle well in heavy seas.
The
trade off for comfort is speed. She cruises at a leisurely 14 kt.
She’s
powered by a single 300 horsepower diesel engine and sports an electric bow thruster for negotiating tight spaces.
She also carries a separate diesel generator to power AC appliances when not at the dock, as well as to provide power
for on board air conditioning when necessary. Electronics include a GPS plotting system and radar.
A vacuum toilet, styled after those used in airliners, is an appointment in the head.
Corian counter tops are found in the head and galley. A comfortable dinette is also found below
decks as is a separate, forward stateroom convenient for privacy when changing before or after a swim.
Below decks are well appointed with a teak and holly sole and a generous
application of wood throughout.
